Stirling Solutions eDriver Module / Palletline’s Digital Signature Capture
Palletline’s Digital Signature Capture requirement becomes fully operational from 1st July 2008.
Stirling Solutions are extremely fortunate to have a significant number of Palletline Members as users of our Traffic Desk Solutions. Whilst a number of these Members already utilised Stirling Solutions eDriver Module (offering a real time in cab solution with the vehicle operative, and digital signature capture), when approached by Palletline we were only too happy to develop a bespoken version of our eDriver Module, for the benefits of our Members. Subsequently, our Palletline customers can now enjoy the benefits of updating both our Traffic Desk Module and Palletline's Peracto Hub Software, directly from a single hand held device.
Furthermore, Stirling Solutions Palletline Members also enjoy the benefits of our Traffic Desk / Peracto Import, our Traffic Desk / Peracto Export, and the added facility of being able to both import and export scanned images.
In addition to our Traffic Desk / Palletline Peracto links, Stirling Solutions also have created similar import / export links for other Pallet Networks Hub Software, namely, PalletWays, PalletForce, Pall-Ex, UPN, TPN, UK Pallets and Pallet-Track.

Stirling Solutions Managed Text Service
Stirling Solutions have developed new functionality within the Multi Depot Version of our Traffic Desk Module, enabling the automatic update of job information via a mobile phone. With an increasing number of Traffic Desk Users heavily supplementing their transport resource through the use of subcontractors, whilst it is considered essential to receive up to the minute delivery information, it is not always practical to insist that subcontractors incur the expense of handheld devices (pda’s), in turn offering a real time update back to the hauliers transport system.
However, as nearly all subcontractors use mobile phones, to facilitate real time updates both to the subcontractor, and back in to Traffic Desk, new development has been completed within Traffic Desk to enable this to happen. In summary, once individual jobs are scheduled and allocated to the relevant subcontractor, Traffic Desk can send out a text message, containing all the required job information, directly to the subcontractor’s mobile phone. On receipt of this text message, once the required movement is complete, and the text message replied to, this can automatically update Traffic Desk with information such as a change of delivery status, through to actual delivery date / time.
Please contact your Stirling Solutions Sales Representative for further information of this exciting enhancement to our Traffic Desk Module.

Stirling Solutions Integrated Scanning Module (Auto Categorisation Version)
Stirling Solutions Integrated Scanning Module is fast, efficient, and incredibly simple to operate.
Scanning documents could not be easier. Each electronic image is linked specifically to its relevant Traffic Desk job, using its own unique reference (for ease of recall). This application is capable of scanning one or multiple documents against the same job.
Scanning not only benefits your business by helping to make it more efficient and therefore profitable, but also benefits your clients too. Customer queries regarding documentation can be resolved instantly, simply at the touch of a button. Potential disputes can be resolved easily through reprinting, faxing or emailing copies of POD’s directly to your customers. Alternatively, using our eTransport+ Module, your customers can directly access their own POD’s over the Internet.
With the recent enhancement to our Integrated Scanning Module of auto categorisation, this additional facility enables all required documents to be automatically categorised against the required job without the requirement of manually indexing.

Palletline Forum
With Palletline's new signature capture facility imminent, Stirling Solutions decided to arrange an open forum meeting of its existing Palletline Members.
The event was very kindly hosted by Trevor Ellis (Managing Director of CS Ellis (Group) Ltd, and also the present Chairman of Palletline) at the CS Ellis (Group) Ltd's premises in South Luffenham. Representatives from all our existing Palletline Members were present and the time spent was very much considered beneficial to all.
In summary, the morning session was utilised to demonstrate how both Palletline's new signature capture facility is to be implemented, and how Stirling Solutions eDriver Module could be utilised to facilitate this. Martin Bewley (META Associates) gave an informative talk regarding how Palletline's Signature Capture facility is to be utilised and the many benefits to both Palletline, the Palletline Members and ultimately the Customer. Following on from this Jonathan Ball (Stirling Solutions, Sales Director) offered a detailed presentation as to how eDriver not only could be utilised for Palletline's requirements, but also how eDriver very much complimented both Traffic Desk and eTransport+. Furthermore, a representative from O2 was available to offer guidance and advice regarding the many different types of hand held devices available for both signature capture and real time updates to / from the vehicle operative.
The afternoon session was utilised as an opportunity to consider additional areas of functionality specifically available to our Palletline Members, including the electronic interfacing of POD information both to and from Peracto, non-conformance reporting, additional reporting features, and additional options available using Stirling Solutions configurable import / export module, facilitating the Traffic Desk / Peracto Interface.
Completing the day, time was also made available to consider two new Stirling Solutions Software Modules, being both the Traffic Desk / Navigator (third party mapping software) Interface (which calculates both mileages and displays both the exact route and distances travelled by roads), and also the new Auto Categorisation of Scanned Images Module, that enables documents to be automatically scanned and categorised into Traffic Desk by means of bar codes.
Due to the overwhelming success of this day, a follow up forum is to be scheduled prior to Palletlines Signature Capture Facility going live. |
